List what is stored and who owns it

Quotezone's kit-car page describes a specialist introduction service, but gives no detailed terms for an unfinished build, loose parts or tools. That gap is a reason to ask, not evidence that cover exists or is unavailable. Keep the build stage and stored property visible.

Group the assembled vehicle, unfitted components, hired/borrowed items, tools and other equipment separately. Identify ownership privately. Keep purchase records and photographs where you can find them. The preparation site does not collect an inventory value or address.

Describe the place and movement

Explain the actual workshop/garage arrangement to the provider: normal storage, shared space, off-site work and movement between locations. Do not describe another secure location simply because it appears more favourable. Ask what evidence and conditions apply to the real arrangement.

Clarify whether the policy discussion concerns the vehicle, components, premises or tools. Ask about fire, theft, accidental damage, security, excesses and relevant limits without assuming these are standard inclusions. If parts move to an installer or the whole build goes on a trailer, raise movement separately.

Record the transition to road use

A build may progress while an existing arrangement remains based on an earlier stage. Contact the provider about completed work and changed use before relying on it. Keep a record of the actual effective time and conditions. A storage description is not a road-use declaration.

The worksheet intentionally keeps building and stored stages as specialist discussions, with no on-road CTA. Its output helps you prepare a conversation. It cannot inspect your premises, validate locks, establish vehicle value or confirm protection.
